Executive Chef Horace He
Since 1988, Horace joined the culinary team at famed Ching Ping Restaurant in Guangzhou. Ching Ping Restaurant was famous for exquisite Cantonese Cuisine and was recognized as one of the best restaurants by then Mayor of Guangzhou. In 1998, Horace won first place in a Cooking Competition in Ching Ping Restaurant. Subsequently, Horace represented Ching Ping Restaurant in the Citywide Cooking Competition and received an award. In 2001, Horace was nominated by City of Guangzhou to compete in the National Cooking Competition. Horace won an award in the Cantonese Cuisine category. Horace left Ching Ping Restaurant after 13 years of service and joined the newly developed Yung Ah Villa in Dongguan, specialized in upscale Cantonese Cuisine. In 2004, Horace and family moved to Los Angeles. He worked for Ocean Seafood Restaurant in Chinatown, King Hua Restaurant in Alhambra, Mission 261 Restaurant in San Gabriel, and landed in Millennium Biltmore Hotel in 2013 to open Bugis Street Brasserie specialized in Singaporean Chinese Cuisine. In 2018, Horace joined Sheraton San Gabriel to open Opal.
